This script contains three stories that take place in the LA suburbs. There are three families with very different lives. We will see how their lives intertwine in the end. The main story, however, is about Tristan, a 13-year-old reserved boy who lost his vision in a car accident when he was four. He is visited and terrorized by the restless spirits of the deceased, who want him to get the forgiveness of people who are still angry at them even now that they are dead. These spirits show Tristan the incident that angers them, what and how they happened, want him to explain what he saw, that it is not what they think, and convince them they must let go of their grudge against these people’s spirits so they can rest in peace. Tristan is confused and wants to know his purpose in life and why he can see these restless spirits.
The second story is about an African American homicide detective called Sheila, who is 25 and has no other family except for her 8- year-old daughter Nusha. Because Sheila was raised in an orphanage.
We see the third story after Tristan and his parents move to the same neighborhood as Sheila, and get to meet and become friends with her and Nusha. Tristan is home alone when another agitated spirit attacks and torments him. The spirit shows him what he did when he was alive and wants him to get forgiveness for him. From whom? We will see later. Terrified, distraught, and greatly saddened, Tristan visits Sheila, the only person he knows in the new neighborhood, in her office at the police station nearby to tell her about the attack. Sheila wants to know how she can help. Tristan tells her she will understand how, after listening and believing what he witnessed.
