An EPIC 880-Page, 4-Volume Novel in the genre of War/Drama

The novel follows the lives of several characters from Sinjar, a small town in Iraq that was decimated by ISIS terrorism in 2014. Through their experiences and memories, readers gain an understanding of the deep sorrow that many of these people have endured during and after the attack: stories of family members killed, children stolen, and homes obliterated. As the novel progresses, readers become aware of the strength of the community and how it must continue to survive despite its devastating losses.

The story centers around a young disabled Sinjari Muslim man who falls in love with a Christian girl who, because of her fear and grief, cannot manages to take charge of her life and fight back against the terrorists. The young man vows to escort her to safety and…. Along the way, they must overcome challenges and hope to find allies – people they never meet.

The novel provides a powerful narrative of courage, resilience and hope in the face of unimaginable horror. It also captures a nuanced portrait of how the consequences of war reverberate throughout society, and how the power of love can work to create something truly beautiful out of tragedy.
