Project Title

Traditionally, dogs have been seen as impure, and the Islamic legal tradition has developed several injunctions that warn Muslims against most contact with dogs. Unfortunately, many Muslims have used this view to justify the abuse and neglect of dogs, even though cruelty contradicts the Holy Qur’an’s view that all animals form “communities like you.” I am pleased to present a movie depicting the place of dogs in Islam.

Reza is a good religious Muslim who has a passion for dogs. He is not afraid of even the wildest of them. Reza is known for his courage and love for dogs in the community. This is the story of Reza and a particular dog, called Flute.

The Brief

Logline
